Glossary citation: Sodium Rapeseedate #26963; Canola Oil #5293; Potassium Rapeseedate #22749 (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/1175 on EUR-Lex).

Canola oil has its own glossary name, but no soap salt of its own: the glossary has no sodium or potassium canolate. CosIng defines Sodium Rapeseedate as the sodium salts of rape oil fatty acids, and canola is a low-erucic rape oil, so its soap takes the rapeseed salt names.

In the soap or skincare tool, put it on its own line with its weight, for example "canola oil, 30", and the tool prints the right name for the product type and the region you choose.

Transcribed from the EU glossary of common ingredient names (Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/1175) and checked against it; the US names are the ones FDA's substance registry (GSRS) records. A labelling reference, not safety advice.
